I am pained to know that people’s hard earned money donated in PM’s National Relief Fund (PMNRF) has been donated to Rajiv Gandhi Foundation (RGF) by the then PM, Dr. Manmohan Singh. This fund was created to render immediate relief to families of those killed in natural calamities like floods, cyclones and earthquakes, etc. and assists partially to defray the expenses for medical treatment like heart surgery, kidney transplantation, cancer treatment of needy people and acid attack etc. This fund is not to oblige someone.
However, this fund has been diverted by Mr. Manmohan Singh to please Mrs Sonia Gandhi by flouting all ethical norms for keeping intact his chair. Surprisingly, he is considered as honest PM when under his nose so many scams originated and sucked public money. And this one must be put on the top of all scams since money given by the citizens with all good faith to help people in distress, was diverted to the privately own trust. He has hammered and destroyed the faith of the honest citizens who donate generously like me whenever occasion arises.
I therefore, appeal to the honourable present PM to investigate this issue and take appropriate action under the law to restore the faith of nation for giving donation in such funds. I am an occasional donor with my honest hard earned money and hence have the right to question.
